Important news for all Miles & More credit card holders: The partnership between Lufthansa Miles & More and Deutsche Bank brings changes. From October 1, 2025, Deutsche Bank AG will take over the issuance of Miles & More credit cards. Previously, DKB AG was the card-issuing partner. This information was announced in July 2023 in an official press release.

Timeline for the Switch

From 01.10.2025 - Status Holders

Frequent Travellers, Senators, and HON Circle Members will be the first to receive their new cards from Deutsche Bank.

From 01.11.2025 - Private Customers Without Status

For private customers without frequent flyer status, the virtual card will be available first. The physical card will follow.

From 01.01.2026 - Self-Employed Without Status

Self-employed individuals without frequent flyer status will receive their cards from January 2026.

By Spring 2026 - Complete Transition

The gradual transition to Deutsche Bank is expected to be completed by spring 2026.

What Do You Need to Do?

Important: No Automatic Switch!

Existing cardholders will not automatically switch to Deutsche Bank. You must apply for a new card at Deutsche Bank.

  • New credit card must be applied for as part of the bank switch
  • Existing DKB cards remain fully valid until individual switch
  • Later cancellation by DKB possible if no switch occurs
