Miles & More Credit Card: Migration 2026 Completed
Deutsche Bank has taken over the Lufthansa Miles & More card from DKB. The switch is done, and the old DKB cards have been wound down. Here is what now applies.
Migration deadlines (now past)
- Frequent flyers (FTL/SEN/HON): DKB card ended 28.02.2026
- Regular cardholders: DKB card ended 30.04.2026
- Business cards: shipped from 01.01.2026
- The migration switch bonus add-on (+40 status points) ended 30.04.2026
The Lufthansa Miles & More credit card has changed issuer. Since 1 October 2025 it is run by Deutsche Bank AG, not DKB, and as of mid-2026 the switch is finished: the last DKB cards were wound down by 30 April 2026. There was never an automatic transfer, so anyone who still wants to collect miles needs a current Deutsche Bank card. If you are weighing up whether Blue, Gold or the fee-free MyFlex is worth keeping, the figures below are the ones that count now, each taken from Deutsche Bank's own price list and dated accordingly.
Key Takeaways
- •Migration done: all cardholders are now on Deutsche Bank, and the last DKB cards ended on 30.04.2026.
- •There was no automatic transfer; cardholders had to apply for the new card themselves.
- •Card pricing: Blue 66 EUR/year, Gold 138 EUR/year, MyFlex 0 EUR. Borrowing rate (Sollzins) on instalments is 9.80% for Blue/Gold and 15.65% for MyFlex.
- •Miles earning: 1 award mile per 2 EUR spent on private cards (Business: 1 mile per 1 EUR).
- •New since the switch: Apple Pay, Google Pay, MilesPay and Marriott Bonvoy status with the Gold card.
1Migration Timeline
Migration start
Deutsche Bank AG took over card issuance from DKB. The first status holders (FTL, SEN, HON) could apply for the new cards.
Business cards shipped
Self-employed people and business owners received their new business credit cards from Deutsche Bank, with a higher earning rate of 1 mile per 1 EUR.
DKB cards ended for frequent flyers
For Frequent Traveller, Senator and HON Circle members the old DKB cards were switched off. By this date the new Deutsche Bank card had to be active.
DKB cards ended for everyone else
Regular cardholders without frequent-flyer status had their DKB cards switched off on this date. The migration switch-bonus add-on of 40 status points also closed here.
Migration completed
The transition to Deutsche Bank wrapped up. Every Miles & More credit card is now issued by Deutsche Bank alone, and DKB no longer plays a part.
2Welcome miles that still run
The migration-only deal for DKB switchers, an add-on of 40 status points, ended on 30 April 2026 and is no longer available. New applicants who never held a DKB Miles & More card can still pick up welcome miles. The figures below come from the current Deutsche Bank offer, and we have date-stamped the ones that run out.
500 miles
Welcome bonus, running until 31.07.2026
500 miles
Welcome bonus for new Blue cardholders
4,000 miles
Welcome bonus for new Gold cardholders
There is also a promotional credit interest rate (Guthabenverzinsung) of 2.1% p.a. on the card account, valid from 1 June to 30 November 2026. Welcome offers change over time, so check the current terms on the official card site before you apply.
3What to check now that the switch is done
Confirm your card is active
Make sure your Deutsche Bank card works and that your DKB card has stopped, as it was wound down by 30 April 2026.
Check that your miles carried over
Your Miles & More account stays the same. Open the app and confirm your balance and status miles came across without gaps.
Set up mobile payment
Apple Pay and Google Pay now work with the card. Add it to your wallet so everyday spend keeps earning miles.
Update standing payments
If you pay subscriptions or recurring bills with the card, swap in the new card number so nothing fails.
Decide whether your variant still fits
If you barely fly, Blue or MyFlex may suit you better than Gold. The comparison further down weighs the cost against the perks.

6Fees and borrowing rate, sourced
The annual fee is 66 EUR for Blue and 138 EUR for Gold, while MyFlex carries no fee. Where it gets expensive is the instalment option. If you spread a card balance over time, the borrowing rate (Sollzins) is 9.80% per year for Blue and Gold, and 15.65% for MyFlex. Both figures come straight from Deutsche Bank's Preis- und Leistungsverzeichnis: the Blue/Gold rate is the version dated June 2026, the MyFlex rate the version dated April 2026. The price list states only the borrowing rate, with no published effective annual rate (effektiver Jahreszins), so we quote the Sollzins and nothing more.
You can read the rates yourself in the official price lists for Blue and Gold and for MyFlex. Stiftung Warentest reviewed the card under its new issuer in Finanztest 04/2026, listed as "Miles and More (Deutsche Bank)", and the Verbraucherzentrale has a useful overview of credit-card costs and how revolving balances can become a debt trap.
Carrying a balance on a card is one of the pricier ways to borrow. For anything larger, a plain instalment loan is usually cheaper, as the comparison at the end of this guide shows.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does the Miles & More Credit Card cost in 2026?
Blue costs 66 EUR per year (5.50 EUR monthly), Gold 138 EUR (11.50 EUR monthly), and MyFlex carries no annual fee. Status holders from Frequent Traveller upwards pay around 65 EUR per year; Senators and HON Circle members pay no card fee. If you use the instalment option, the borrowing rate (Sollzins) is 9.80% for Blue and Gold and 15.65% for MyFlex, per Deutsche Bank's price list dated June and April 2026.
Is there a welcome bonus in 2026?
Yes, for new applicants. MyFlex offers 500 welcome miles until 31.07.2026, Gold offers 4,000 and Blue 500. The 40-status-point migration add-on for DKB switchers expired on 30.04.2026 and is gone. Welcome terms change, so confirm the current offer on the official card site before applying.
Is Apple Pay or Google Pay supported now?
Yes. Mobile payment came with the Deutsche Bank switch, something the old DKB card never offered. You can add the card to Apple Pay or Google Pay and pay by phone or watch. The MilesPay function in the Miles & More app works as well, so contactless spend still earns miles.
What happens to my collected miles after the switch?
Nothing changes about your miles. The Miles & More account belongs to the loyalty programme, not to the bank, so award and status miles stay put when the card issuer changes from DKB to Deutsche Bank. After getting your new card, open the app and check that the balance matches what you expect.
How many miles do I collect per euro spent?
Private cards earn 1 award mile per 2 EUR spent. Business cards earn double, at 1 mile per 1 EUR. On top of that, partner offers and shopping portals can add extra miles on specific purchases.
Blue or Gold: which is worth it?
Blue at 66 EUR keeps your miles from expiring and suits the occasional traveller. Gold at 138 EUR adds travel insurance and Marriott Bonvoy Silver status, so it earns its keep only if you actually use those perks. If you rarely fly, the fee-free MyFlex can be the more sensible choice.
Which card suits an occasional flyer?
For one or two flights a year, Blue at 66 EUR usually covers it and keeps your miles alive. Gold only pays off if you make use of the included travel insurance. If you fly almost never, MyFlex collects miles at no annual fee.
Was there a deadline I missed to keep my card?
The DKB cards were wound down by 28.02.2026 for status holders and 30.04.2026 for everyone else. Both dates have passed. If you applied for a Deutsche Bank card in time, you kept collecting miles without interruption. If you missed the window, you can still apply now as a new customer.
