How checkeverything.de makes money

checkeverything.de is funded through partner programmes. If you conclude a contract through one of the embedded comparison calculators, that partner pays us a referral commission. You pay us nothing, and we do not pass on or sell user data.

Two partners supply virtually every calculator on this site:

• Tarifcheck (partner ID 110646) for loans, insurance and credit cards
• CHECK24 (partner ID 195949) for electricity, gas, DSL, mobile and travel

An honest caveat on price: providers set their own tariffs. We cannot verify for every provider at every moment whether going direct would be cheaper. If an offer appeals to you, check it with the provider directly as well.

The calculators are not built in house. They run as an embedded window belonging to Tarifcheck or CHECK24. Which tariffs appear and in what order is decided by that provider according to its own criteria.

So you will not find a sentence here claiming that the best offer is always ranked first. We could not honour it, because we neither set nor see the sort order. In its sector inquiry into comparison portals of 11 April 2019, the German Federal Cartel Office concluded that commissions can influence how such portals present results and that consumers are usually not told about it. We think it is right to say so here rather than work around it.

What we can guarantee is the labelling: every comparison calculator on this website carries an advertising notice stating that we receive a commission if a contract is concluded.

All content appears under "checkeverything.de Redaktion". That is not a placeholder standing in for a single name; it is a deliberate choice. We do not create author profiles unless a real person with the stated qualification sits behind them. Invented expert biographies are common in this industry. We consider them misleading.

The consequence is an obligation on sourcing. Wherever a figure, a deadline or a legal consequence appears, we name the reference at that point in the text, so you can verify it without relying on us. Advertising partners neither review nor approve our editorial texts.

For legal positions, market figures and consumer questions we rely on public primary sources, most often these:

Tariff data inside the calculators does not come from us. It belongs to the respective partner and changes continuously. What counts is always the offer the provider shows you at the point of conclusion.

Precision beats a grand promise here too. We review guide content as circumstances require, above all when legislation changes or the market shifts noticeably, rather than on a fixed cycle for every single page. Some of our pages already carry a visible update date, and we are working to extend that across the whole stock.

If you spot an outdated or incorrect statement, write to us via the imprint. We will correct it and note the change on the page.

We also do not cover the whole market. You see the providers included in the respective partner calculator. A provider that works with none of our partners does not appear here, even if its tariff is cheaper.
