Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data is generated when you visit checkeverything.de, why we process it, how long it is kept, and to whom it is disclosed.

1. Overview
You can read checkeverything.de without telling us anything about yourself. Loading a page creates technical connection data that every web server needs. Everything beyond that depends on what you do: no audience measurement runs without your consent, and our partners' comparison calculators only load once you scroll down to them.
Personal data is any information that can be used to identify you. This includes your IP address.
2. Controller
The party responsible for data processing on this website is:
Yasin BaytürkHabichtgasse 3
88046 Friedrichshafen
Telefon: +49 159 05123420
E-Mail: info@checkeverything.de
We have not appointed a data protection officer. The statutory conditions that would make this mandatory do not apply to us. If you have questions about data protection, please contact the address given above.
3. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights against us:
- Access to the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15)
- Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16)
- Erasure of your data (Art. 17)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18)
- Data portability (Art. 20)
- Objection to certain processing operations (Art. 21, see section 4)
- Withdrawal of any consent given, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3))
An informal email to the address given above is sufficient. We do not require a reason for an access request.
Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Supervisory Authority
If you believe we are processing your data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is:
Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg
Heilbronner Straße 35, 70191 Stuttgart
Submit a complaint
You may instead contact the supervisory authority of your habitual residence or your place of work.
4. Right to Object under Art. 21 GDPR
Where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object to that processing at any time. The objection may relate to a single processing operation only, and if it is directed against direct marketing, no reason needs to be given.
After an objection, we will no longer process the affected data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, or the processing serves to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. An informal email is sufficient to object.
5. Hosting
This website is hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS) and delivered through their content delivery network. AWS processes, on our behalf, the connection data generated when pages are accessed. This is based on a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and quickly accessible offering (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Delivery takes place from locations within the European Union.
6. Server Log Files
When you access a page, your browser automatically transmits data that is recorded in log files:
- Browser type and version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Hostname of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
- IP address
We need this data to deliver the pages free of technical errors and to detect attacks. It is not combined with other data sources. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
We delete the log data as soon as it is no longer required for these purposes. If an incident needs to be investigated, we retain the affected entries until the investigation is concluded.
8. Contacting Us
If you write to us, we process the information you provide in order to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract, and otherwise our legitimate interest in responding under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
We delete this data once your matter has been conclusively resolved and there is no longer any need to retain it. Statutory retention obligations under commercial and tax law remain unaffected; in those cases, the data remains stored until the statutory period expires and is used only for that purpose in the meantime.
9. Audience Measurement
We want to know which guides are being read and where readers drop off. We use two Google services for this. Both run only if you have given your consent in the cookie notice. If you decline or make no selection, neither service is loaded.
Google Analytics 4
Measurement ID: G-N5WJ4VPCBL. This records page views, time spent on the page, the source of the visit, the device used, an approximate location, and interactions on the page. The IP address is processed in truncated form.
Google Tag Manager
Container ID: GTM-5Z33TLTR. Tag Manager manages the integration of the measurement functions. It does not itself store any information on your device, but establishes a connection to Google when it loads and transmits your IP address in the process.
Provider and Legal Basis
The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with Section 25(1) TDDDG.
Transfer to the United States
A transfer of your data to Google servers in the United States cannot be ruled out. The United States is a third country within the meaning of the GDPR. We base such a transfer on your explicit consent under Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR and draw your attention to the risks involved: in the United States, government authorities may, under certain conditions, access personal data without you having the same legal remedies available as within the European Union. If you would prefer this not to happen, simply decline the analytics cookies in the cookie notice. The website will continue to function unchanged.
Google describes in its privacy policy how long it stores the data collected and how you can object to it. Independently of our cookie notice, you can additionally prevent collection by Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on.
10. Our Partners' Comparison Calculators
On many of our guide pages we embed comparison calculators that do not come from us but are operated by partner companies. You can recognize them by the fact that the calculator runs in its own frame within the page.
- Tarifcheck (domain form.partner-versicherung.de, partner ID 110646) for loan, motor vehicle, health, and pension insurance comparisons.
- CHECK24 (domain files.check24.net, partner ID 195949) for electricity, gas, DSL, mobile, travel, and rental car comparisons.
These calculators are not loaded when the page opens, but only once you scroll down to them in the page. When a calculator loads, the respective provider learns your IP address and may store information on your device.
Any information you enter into such a calculator, for example a loan amount, term, or vehicle details, goes directly to the provider of the calculator. We do not technically receive these entries, because the calculator runs in a separate frame belonging to a different domain and we cannot read its contents. The respective provider is responsible for processing this data; its privacy policy applies.
The legal basis for loading a calculator is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, because you initiate the comparison yourself by scrolling to the calculator, alternatively Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. If you do not want this, simply do not use the calculators.
11. How We Earn Money
If a contract or an inquiry results from one of these calculators, we receive compensation for it from the partner company. This does not create any additional cost for you.
So that a referral can be attributed to us, our partners use identifying markers for this, usually cookies. These are set together with the calculator, that is, only once you open it. We ourselves do not learn who you are in the process; we only receive a statement from the partner about how many referrals resulted.
12. Retention Period
We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose. After that, we delete it unless a statutory retention obligation applies. The following applies to the individual processing operations:
| Processing | Duration |
|---|---|
| Server log files | until the technical purpose no longer applies; in the event of a security incident, until the investigation is concluded |
| Email inquiries | until the matter is conclusively resolved; after that, only insofar as commercial or tax law periods apply (generally six or ten years respectively) |
| Your cookie decision | remains in your browser's local storage until you change it or delete your browser data |
| Audience measurement and comparison calculators | according to the respective provider's periods; its privacy policy is decisive |
13. Data Security
The connection to this website is encrypted with TLS throughout. You can recognize this by your browser's address bar starting with https and by the padlock icon. Data transmitted in encrypted form cannot be read by third parties along the transmission path.
14. Changes to this Policy
If we change our offering or the legal situation changes, we will update this policy accordingly. The version published here always applies; the date of the last change is shown above.

We hereby expressly object to the use of the contact details published in our legal notice (Impressum) for sending unsolicited promotional material.
